Congratulations to Charles H. Garrett

Amusicology is proud to announce the receipt of its first review copy of a book, Charles Garrett’s Struggling to Define a Nation: American Music and the Twentieth Century. I promised the nice lady at UC Press that we would post an announcement on the blog; for anyone who is writing an American music dissertation in the last 4 years, Garrett’s dissertation has been required reading. I’ll be posting a more in depth discussion Real Soon Now ™.
